Staying at the Retreat

Our goal is for the retreat to have six fully furnished cabins, available for five-day stays for veterans and their families. This model has the capability to reach over 300 veteran families each year. There would be up to five RV spaces created for short-term use for veterans who would prefer those accommodations.

At the farm, veterans will have many opportunities to interact with other veterans. There will be a pavilion where guests can hang hammocks, and make use of the fire pits that will be available.  The goal is to use this space as a central place for guests to gather, for fundraising events and live music for guests as well.

Guests will also be provided with opportunities to interact with farm animals and seasonally assist with gardening, activities which can boost confidence and self-esteem. The farm will provide leisure activities such as fishing, archery, star gazing, an area to play airsoft, and nearby access hiking trails. Additionally, we will be forming community partnerships who will offer recreational excursions like white water rafting, hang gliding, car racing and sky diving, to give veterans a way of experiencing the adrenaline rush they have been missing since leaving the military.
